I am Yao Yao, a Ph.D. Candidate in Decision and Information Sciences at the C.T. Bauer College of Business, University of Houston, where I am fortunate to be advised by Prof. Meng Li. 

My research focuses on human-centered AI, bridging emerging AI practices with human-centric operations.

I employ a variety of empirical methods, including lab experiments, field experiments, applied econometrics, and applied machine learning, to examine two fundamental questions:

(i) how emerging AI practices reshape human decision-making and create operational value;

(ii) how operational processes can be designed to optimize and equitably distribute operational value across stakeholders.
